FAQ
Our carbonating cylinders are the heart of your Sparkling Water Maker. It perfectly fits your Sparkling Water Maker and contains colourless, odourless, incombustible gas, used to help create the bubbles.
With a CO2 Exchange, you return any empty SodaStream cylinder and just pay the price of the gas for a new cylinder. You can easily exchange your carbonating cylinder via home delivery or at a store near you.
A Spare cylinder is there so you never run out of gas. You pay for the licence of the cylinder and the gas. SodaStream Singapore recommends having at least 3 cylinders on hand, so you’ll always have bubbles, exchanging 2 at a time to take advantage of free shipping. Go get your Spare CO2 cylinders!
There are 2 cool reasons to do so. Firstly, we recommend keeping a spare cylinder handy so that when your CO2 cylinder runs out, you simply swap the empty cylinder for a full one, thus enjoying fresh fizzy drinks without interruption! You can then have your empty CO2 cylinder replaced online or at a store near you.
And secondly, exchanging 2 cylinders at a time means free shipping! You can conveniently have a delivery personnel pick up your empty cylinders at your home/office, and give you full ones at the same time. All these within 1 to 2 business days!
Our cylinders will on average make up to 60L of sparkling water, but there is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question. That's what makes SodaStream so unique! How frequently you need to replace your carbonating cylinder depends on the level of carbonation you use. Also, electric models of our makers give more consistent carbonation and comparatively yields more.
If you find yourself replacing gas more than you'd like to, try reducing the number of times you push the carbonating button per use, and use firm 1-2 second pushes each time.
Sparkle Tip: SodaStream recommends having at least 3 cylinders on hand, so you’ll always have bubbles and you get free shipping when exchanging 2 at a time!
There are a number of indications that show your CO2 cylinder is empty:
• On a kitchen scale, an empty cylinder weighs about 780g or less.
• Ensure the cylinder has been tightened enough. When you press the carbonating button you will not see any gas going into your bottle of water.
• Even after repeated presses you don't hear the 'buzzing' sound.
• The carbonating button may stay down.
• If you're still not getting bubbles and if you don't hear a sputtering sound when you press the carbonating button, you may be out of gas.
Using our Cylinders outside of Sodastream is not a good idea.
